Canvas by OpenApps is a free Miro alternative. Free. Unlimited editable boards.

A free online whiteboard where every board stays editable. Draw shapes, arrows, sticky notes and frames on an endless canvas, share an edit link or a view-only link, and see everyone's pointers live. There is no cap on editable boards and no sign-up. Canvas is built on the open-source Excalidraw editor, and boards export as PNG, SVG or .excalidraw files.

Questions

Is Canvas really free?
Yes. Every board stays editable, with no cap and no paid plan.
Do people need an account?
No. Anyone with the edit link can draw on the board, and anyone with the view link can look. The admin link can turn either link off.
Is it built on Excalidraw?
Yes. Canvas uses the open-source Excalidraw editor and adds saved boards with edit, view and admin links, templates and an API.
Can I add images?
Yes: PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MB each. Bigger ones are shrunk to fit.
