A free Calendly alternative for Google Meet

Book is a free booking page that puts your Google Meet link on every booking. It does not read your calendar, and here is what that means in practice.

Book is a free booking page for Google Meet calls. Set your weekly hours, the meeting length and your own Meet link, then share your page. People pick a time in their own time zone, and both of you get a calendar invite with the meeting link. One honest difference from Calendly: Book does not read your calendar. You set the hours you are free, and adjust them when your week changes.

Calendly's free plan allows one event type and one calendar connection. Its Standard plan costs $10 per seat a month and Teams $16, both billed yearly, according to its pricing page on October 19, 2026.

What "does not read your calendar" means

Calendly connects to your calendar. If you have a dentist appointment on Tuesday at 2, it hides that slot for you.

Book does not connect to any calendar. It knows two things: the weekly hours you set, and the bookings made through your page. So if you have a dentist appointment on Tuesday at 2, change your hours for that week.

That is a real tradeoff. In return:

  • No calendar permission. Book never asks for access to your Google account, so nothing about your other meetings leaves your calendar.
  • Nothing to sync. There is no calendar connection to fail quietly.
  • Quick to set up. A few fields, then share your page.

Book suits people with steady hours: office hours, tutoring, coaching, consultations, interviews, or sales calls in fixed blocks.

Book does not suit a calendar that changes every day. If your free time moves around a lot, use a tool that reads your calendar, like the options further down.

How to set up Book with Google Meet

  1. Make a Meet link to reuse. In Google Meet, choose "Create a meeting for later" and copy the link. Keep one link just for bookings.
  2. Open Book and create your page. Type your name and pick the page address.
  3. Set your weekly hours, such as Monday to Thursday, 10 to 12 and 2 to 4.
  4. Set the meeting length, how much notice you need before a booking, and a break after each meeting.
  5. Paste your Meet link. People see it only after they book.
  6. Share your page in your email signature, on your website or in a message.

Zoom, Teams or any https meeting link work the same way.

What happens when someone books

  • They see your open times in their own time zone, and pick one.
  • The time disappears for everyone else right away. Two people can never take the same slot.
  • Both of you get a calendar invite file (.ics) and a Google Calendar link, with your meeting link in it.
  • They get a private link to cancel. If they cancel, the time opens up again.
  • The booking shows up on your page's admin view right away.

Book does not send emails. The person booking adds the meeting to their calendar from the confirmation screen and keeps their cancel link. On your side, check your admin view, or add each booking to your calendar as it comes in.

Other free options

Fair comparisons, since Book is ours:

  • Google Calendar appointment schedules. Built into Google Calendar, they check your calendar and can add a Meet link to each booking. Personal Google accounts get a basic version, and some features need a paid Google Workspace plan, so check what yours includes. If you live in Google Calendar, try this first.
  • Cal.com. Open source, with a free plan for one person that its pricing page calls "free forever", with unlimited event types and calendars. A strong choice if you want calendar sync without paying.
  • Calendly free. One event type and one calendar connection. Fine if one kind of meeting is all you need.

What Book adds: no account to connect, no paid tier, and a public API, so an AI assistant can book a time on someone's page for you, or set up a page for you.
